Master of Architecture (FADU, UdelaR)
MSc. Sustainable Regional Development (Deakin University)
Analytical, creative, resourceful, and versatile architect passionate about urban design and planning, sustainability, and the right to the city, with a recent master's degree in Sustainable Regional Development. Over 10 years of experience in architectural concept design, design development, construction documentation, and budgeting. With more than 5 years dedicated to research and design in sustainable urban design and planning, particularly focused on water-sensitive cities, sustainable drainage, and co-design. Additionally, served as an honorary lecturer in Basic Urban Design and Advanced Urban Planning courses at the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urbanism (FADU) in Uruguay for 2 years. Also, gained 3 years of practical experience in projects concerning water supply and drainage for single-family dwellings, buildings, and urban parks.
I am passionate about applying my experience, insatiable curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, along with my unwavering willpower and tenacity, to research, consulting, and/or design in the fields that connect urban design and planning and sustainability, both in the public and private sectors. I am particularly interested in addressing topics related to sustainable drainage and biodiversity (e.g., WSUD, SUDS, BSUD, LID, SCM, BGP, NBS, BMP, GI, Ecourbanism, Ecosystem-based Urbanism, etc.). I find it even more compelling when approached with a cultural sensitivity, consideration of gender and generational issues, and/or a foundation in human rights (e.g., Right to the City, Feminist Urbanism, and/or Co-design/Participatory Design).
